What Is The Difference Between Pop up and Click Clack Waste

Date:2023-04-14

Click clack and Pop up sink drain waste are two different types of drain assemblies used in sinks, bathtubs, and other plumbing fixtures. The main difference between the two is how they operate to open and close the drain.

A pop-up trash can is a drain that includes a lever or knob on a faucet or behind a sink to control a drain plug. When the lever or knob is lifted, a linkage is activated that raises the stopper, allowing water to drain from the sink or tub. When the lever or knob is pressed, the stopper lowers back into place to stop water from flowing out.

In contrast, a click-clack waste is a drain assembly that uses a spring-loaded mechanism to control the plug. When the plug is pressed, it snaps into place and seals the drain. To open the drain, depress the plug again, releasing the spring, allowing the plug to pop out, and allowing water to flow out.

Both types of drain assemblies are widely used and are effective in keeping water from draining from a sink or bathtub.
